One church per week closes its doors in Holland

On Terri's birthday we went to the Hard Rock Cafe in Amsterdam for dinner. The HRC is just off the Leidseplein and it was beautifully lit for Christmas.

They had a traditional Dutch Oliebollen (like big donut holes) stand and an ice rink set up on the Leidseplein.

On December 17 we got our first snowfall. This is a photo from our front door.

This was the view out of our bedroom window the next morning.

On December 18 we went with Brett and Evalien to Amsterdam to celebrate Brett's birthday at a New Zealand pie shop. We stopped on the way to watch the dutcks 'skate' on a pond in a nearby park.

Our international cell group celebrated Christmas this year with a cheese fondue/baked potato bar dinner.
